It's hard to imagine that Braden has been in the NICU for 85 days. It's even harder to imagine that he will be 3 months old this Saturday and almost weighs 5 pounds! He has really grown and he has proven to us over and over that he is a fighter. We're so proud of him!
The doctors have informed us that they will need to slow down on Braden's bottle feedings. They don't want him to get too tired, but he definitely needs to eat. So he'll do a little more tube feeding and a little less bottle feeding for now. Hopefully, that will give him some more time to get stronger and grow a little more. We are very excited to think that Braden could be home in about a week - but we are still very guarded with that information. Anything can change in the NICU, so we're still going one day at a time. But we know he'll be healthy enough to go home soon!
We've got some cute photos to share with you today. Thanks for stopping by to check on my precious nephew and please continue to keep him in your prayers.
This is one of Braden's very first bottle feedings with one of his nurses. As you can see, he liked it!
Braden loves to look around the nursery. He has his eye on everything!
Braden was tired after watching the people in the nursery and fell asleep in his mommy's arms. Check out that double-chin! Isn't it cute??!!
Braden is practicing his good-bye wave since he knows he'll be heading home soon.
