I know it has been a while since I have updated but we have been really busy. Lets start with Braden and his music class. He has been taking classes at UNT College of Music for toddlers and he LOVES IT! I am so lucky to be able to go with him every Saturday for the past month and see him advance more and more every time we go. They gave us a CD that we listen to in the car so he pretty much has every song memorised. This coming Saturday is the last class and he will graduate from it that day. I will be sure to take some pictures.
The 4th of July was a blast. We went to Memphis to visit Grandbob and Gramy and all the rest of our family. Braden and Steve were in the parade of kids, adults, dogs, strollers, jeeps, trailers you name it, they were all decorated and everyone had a great time. After the parade the local fire station has a truck out there and they open the hoses and everyone gets WET!! Braden and Steve came back soaking wet from head to toe. We had a great lunch followed by some swimming at Aunt Candy's house. Braden loves the water and seems to be getting the whole swimming thing down. We went over to Libby and Philip's for some good old Memphis BBQ!! Philip had a variety of goodies for us to eat and what a cook he is. We all ate got the kids fed and after we did that it was about time to start some fireworks. Now here in Texas we can not do them in our street right in front of our house. Well in Memphis we did just that. We sat on the lawn and sidewalk and the guys put on a pretty good show for all of us. Some of the kids got a little scared but not Braden he could not have been happier. He was sitting with Steve on grass and just watched the show. That moment i looked over at them and i just felt so good to see them like that i think that was a better show then the fireworks. Then it was off to bed. Braden got to go to the farm and had a great time on the tractors and the jeep and everything else little boys can get into on the farm. Amy and I went SHOPPING!!! There are some great stores in Memphis that i must go to every time i am there or i feel empty!
Once we were home is was back to the swing of things for us. Work, cleaning house, laundry, chasing Braden and everything else. We were glad to be home but miss everyone in Memphis so much. We are hoping to go back in November. That weekend we got back we had a birthday for one of our neighbors and had a great time. I think that i have the best neighborhood ever. we are like our own little family. If you live by me i can not wait for you meet them.
Braden will be playing Blastball this fall. It is the pre step of T-ball. They play with a soft ball and bat. they run to first base only and they have to honk a horn when they reach it BUT before a player gets the ball and yells "BLAST". There is not score or stats being taking just some good fun for them. It is co-ed teams of 3 and 4 year old kids. His friend Cutter is going to play and we have asked that they be on the same team, i have also asked to make sure that they get a good team name. His practice starts the week of Aug. 18 and his first game is Saturday Sept. 6. I will post his schedule as soon as i get it so if you are around you can join us.
I will get some pictures up soon of all this great stuff. Thanks for checking in on us.
