Braden had another good night. He's being a bit fiesty and pulls on those cords and tubes. Doesn't that sound just like Annie? He moves a lot and likes to wiggle his toes.
So far, Braden has been visited by his parents, MoMo, PoPo, GrandBob, Uncle JJ, Aunt Connie, and Aunt Clara. GrandBob, Steve's dad, drove all the way from Memphis on Braden's birthday just to see him. We were all so glad he came!
Lucky Connie got to change Braden's pamper! I don't know how she did it or who she sweet talked to get that opportunity. But she did it!
Braden is having one small situtation. There is a blood vessel near the heart that remains open while a baby is in the womb. That vessel allows blood to flow through the lungs. After being born, it seals on its own. Braden's did not seal and that is common with preemies. If the vessel does not seal, it can send too much blood through the lungs and cause respiratory problems. He is on medication for this and that treatment is almost always successful. If, for some reason, he is in the small percentage that does not respond to the medicine, it can be sealed with surgery. But we are praying that the medicine will be all that he needs.
I finally got a good picture of that hair! I know that pictures of him can be deceiving - but keep in mind that when he's all curled up like this, he's about 8 inches long from head to toe.

I believe Braden is requesting a blue headband instead of that pick one.
