Braden should be off the oscillating ventilator very soon and we are so happy about that. It means that his little lungs are healing and he's able to breathe on his own. Right now his oxygen settings are in the low 20s which is amazing!!! Also, they removed all but one IV!!
Braden has gone from 12 CCs of formula to 19 CCs! Every 3 hours he gets his 19 CCs of yummy formula. It does take a while for the formula to make it through the tube and into his tummy, but he loves every drop of it! This increase of appetite is normal in our family - we all feel the need to celebrate and eat when we get some good news!
We do not have any updates regarding the blood clot in his brain. Right now we simply wait for the sonograms to be done and they will let us know if the clot is growing or moving. Please pray that Braden's body will reabsorb the blood and he will not have to go through surgery.
