GREAT News!

Today has been a good day for Braden! We have all kinds of good news!

First of all, Braden is now weighing in at 1 pound 8 1/2 ounces. His doctors said that for 25 weeks of gestational development, that is the perfect weight.

Braden opened his eyes today! Luckily, Annie and Uncle JJ were there to see him. Annie said that Braden looked over at her and looked around the room. They made eye contact for about a minute, but then he fell back asleep.

Also, Braden was fed for the first time today! He is getting a preemie formula through the same tube in his belly button. Since he was able to eat today, they turned him over and let him sleep on his tummy and he loved it!

The BEST news is that our sweet boy had a neurological exam today and it came out perfect! There is no blood in his brain and his brain is operating with all normal fluids and activity. That means that he will not have any mental side effects from his premature birth. The likelihood of him being mentally challenged or having any disease or illness stemming from brain defects is down to nothing!!

What a blessed, blessed day! Thanks so much for your prayers. Braden is proof of the power of prayer. Keep those prayers coming!!
